A Little Bit About A&C  Martial Arts.....

Mrs. Davidson, was a student and instructor in a previous studio in West Salem. When they closed their doors in 2014, Mrs. Davidson couldn't accept the thought of the current students there losing out on their training. So the idea of A&C was born.  She found a place to work out of and continued training some of the students, and in June 2016 was able to finally open her own, official studio.  Mrs. Davidson welcomes you to the family here at A&C Martial Arts. A&C Martial Arts offers traditional Tae Kwon Do, Self Defense classes, Jiu Jitsu, Kendo, Self Defense seminars and so much more! Stop in and see what we are all about!!

Mrs. Davidson

Mrs. Davidson is the Owner and Head Instructor of A&C Martial Arts. She is a busy mother of 5 who not only loves the Martial Arts and teaching it but loves the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, crafting, gaming and her pets(2 dogs, 1 cat). She's serious, but likes to have fun and loves watching as her students "get it"! She is an emotionally charged, fearless leader and loves her students as if they were her own children. She will be the first  person to cry when you pass or fail, she will be the first person to cry because you understand it, she is vested in you as a student 100% and wants to see you succeed not only in your training but in life in general. She is a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has over 12+ years of training. Ms. Angela(as she is called in class) teaches the traditional Tae Kwon Do classes: All Students, All Students Forms, Advanced Forms, Self Defense 1 and Tournament Prep/Demo Team classes.

Master Matthew Reardon

Master Matthew Reardon is a 6th degree black belt in Karate as well as a black belt in several other disciplines. He has over 4 decades of training, and 35+ years of teaching. He has trained in dozens of Martial Arts programs, while specializing in self-defense and women's rape prevention. He has taught numerous programs for Fortune 500 companies, the Oxygen Television Network, Gundersen's Women's Health Expo, and several State and Federal organizations as well. He has trained over 50 black belt instructors, from many different styles, in a continued education program and oversaw the rank promotion of more than 3 dozen to 2nd-5th degree black belt level. He has competed at the national level in competitive breaking, weapons, forms and full contact fighting. He has trained students from 4 years old to retirees, including ones with physical or mental disabilities. He is one of the most humble men you will ever meet and cares about each of his students success. He is a big ole teddy bear who likes to joke around but be serious when it needs to be. We are extremely honored to have him with us. Reards(as we tend to call him) teaches Self Defense classes, Jiu Jitsu, Self Defense or Women's Rape Prevention Seminars and Boxing(when we offer it).

Mr. Aaron Larson

Mr. Larson has been involved in the Martial Arts system for over 25 years and an instructor for more than 20. He has trained in several different arts, multiple weapons, and continually searches out knowledge to help grow and develop himself and his students. He currently holds a 5th degree black belt in Karate and a 3rd degree black belt in Kendo. He is an absolute joy to have in our family and we are very lucky to have him here to share his vast amount of knowledge with us.  Mr. Larson teaches our Kendo Program and occasionally may join other classes or help teach.

What our customers are saying

This place is amazing! I have been taking classes for years here and they make me feel accepted like a family does. Demos and tournaments are always a BLAST and it's fun to hang out with everyone outside of class through these. The place is very kid friendly and the instructors are AWESOME!!! I definitely recommend taking classes here if you want to learn to defend yourself or if you just want to have fun.
